The title is part of a quote from Constantin Brancusi. Contemporary Architecture is a passion of mine and I seek them out on my travels when I can. The added benefit is that they lend themselves to abstracted imagery, with great contrasts and shapes. This collection of architecture is inspired by a quote from one of favourite modern Architects, the late Zaha Hadid:
“There are 360 degrees, so why stick to one?”
The Maggies building in Aberdeen. A nationwide cancer support organisation, the majority of whose buildings are of a very modern design.
The Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh, taken from 5 different points (nearly through 360) all getting a slightly different treatment. Angular with dominating vertical lines
Berlin the Reichstag building. A mesmerising addition to the pre war building through Norman Foster's magnificent Dome. Full of mirrors, spirals and lines
